DIVERSITY OF HIJAB

There are many types of Hijab in this world and most of the Muslim region wear it according to the region. Several types of Hijab is :

Niqab-  A veil covering the head and face but not the eyes , usually worn with loose black garment

            ( abaya) that covers from head to feet.

Hijab - A general term that mean " to cover" or " Veil " mostly refer to a headscarf that cover the hair 

          and neck but not the face.This type of hijab is mostly found in Malaysia.

Burka - A veil that covers the entire body and face with a space for the eyes for a women to see out                of.

Chador - A full length cloak worn by many Iranian women , typical held closed at the wearer's hands              or under their arms.

Dupatta - A long scarf loosely draped across the head and shoulders , common in South Asia and                   often paired with matching garments.

THE MEANING OF HIJAB

Hijab is the buzz word nowadays. Many people wear it but do we really know the real meaning of hijab ? Once , my lecturer randomly asked the class about the meaning of hijab. And me with other friends quickly answered that wearing hijab is covering our head. We are so sure that our answers are correct that we cannot be rational about the real definition of hijab.

And DING !!!

Our answer are wrong ! So , after coming back from class , I kept on wondering what is the real meaning of hijab and decided to search for it. This is what I found :

1. Hijab is not something that we wear only to cover our head.

2. The real definition is Hijab is a veil that cover the head and chest , which particularly worn by Muslim      women beyond the age of puberty in the presence of adult males outside of their immediate family.

3. It can further refer to any head , face or body covering worn by Muslim women that conforms to a certain standard of modesty.

4. It is also worn as a symbol of modesty , privacy and morality.

Premier color

Red, yellow, and blue are known as premier color. The other color are formed from the combination of these premier color. To get a modern and trendy looks, a person can use only one of these premier color for the clothes and accessories which is called as monochrome look. If you are a daring person, you can combine all the threes color in your clothes and accessories which then make you to have a mod look style.  

Complementary color

Complementary color is the color that have parallel oppose with one another in the color chart. For example, the color of yellow and violet, orange and blue, and reddish violet with greenish yellow. This will contribute to a contrast color clothes for a person.

Triad color

Triad color is the combination of two tertiary color located within the premier color and complementary color. According to the chart, the combination of the two tertiary colors should combine with the forth color from the chosen color. For example, the greenish yellow with blue violet, blue violet with orange red, yellow orange with greenish blue and red violet with orange yellow.  The triad colors are stable and usually suitable for variety clothes.

Analogous color

Analogous color is the combination of two tertiary color located to the left and right of complementary color. For example, greenish yellow with greenish blue, blue violet with red violet and so on. This color creates a harmonious color from the both color. This color is suitable for formal function and also when working in an office.

Tips of choosing clothes color according to the skin color

1.       If you have fair skin, never wear pastel color like pink

2.       If you have freshly yellow skin, tropical color like orange, green, red, yellow and blue are the best choice

3.       If you have brownish skin, choose purple, orange or pink so that you will look more fabulous!

4.       If you have darker skin, soft earth color is the best choice for you.

WHAT FABRIC DID YOU USE?

Hai..we're back with further information about the fabrics that people usually use to make hijab. The one that you're wearing right now, what it is made of? Let find it out.

The first fabric that people usually use is chiffon.This is the example of chiffon fabric. What is the specialist?

This type of fabric made ​​from raw material mixture between cotton fiber, silk and synthetic fibers. This type of hijab fabric has properties of thin, slippery and rather hot when used for a material hijab if there is no other combination in the design of the hijaber itself. Nonetheless fabric hijaber is pretty much enjoy doing by women because it is lighter. 

Next is Hycoon fabric. This is it.

Looking this fabric for the first time looks similar to the chiffon materials but it is actually more different as chiffon is more slippery than hycon. The material properties, if compared to chiffon, is the softer type of chiffon.

Lycra fabric

It has high elasticity properties, more robust and resilient to high heat iron, shortage of material is lycra material does not absorb sweat, slippery material, stretch and is usually applied to material inner ninja, clothes or subordinate when wearing hijab

Silk fabric

Silk fabric is comfortable to wear and heat. It easy to set up a variety of creations as soft texture, can be used everyday, its material is also suitable for use with any function such as when you are having party. While the weakness is, wrinkle silk, sometimes faded coloring, treatment should also be extra careful so that durable.

Polyester fabric

Polyester fabric material does not easily tangle and it can be used everyday or as it is easy to wear it. But the shortcomings of this material is hot and sultry when worn especially during hot weather, in addition to the polyester veil is also rather difficult to be created because the texture tends to be rigid. 

Rayon fabric

Hijab made ​​from rayon fabric has advantages which is cool when wear it, looks casual and can be use for daily activities. However, it is easily tangled and sometimes washed out. It can easily brings out unpleasant smell as it absorb sweat. 

Jersey fabric

 

It is made from jersey shirt and sometimes it used to make in a t-shirt or dress. It feels cold and comfortable to hijaber if they use than lycra and spandex

A LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT FABRIC :)

There is a lot of fabric that people use to make hijab, dress and so on. However, there is only certain type of fabric that people usually used to make hijab, scarf or shawl. This is due to its quality that can make the scarf look nice to wear and also easy to tolerate with, which means easy to wear.

Fabric is mainly produced by many kind or natural resources or the artificial one. It also can be produced by combining both, natural and artificial. The natural fabric is made up from fiber which is from animal’s skin, silkworm cocoon, seeds, leaves and also from stems of plant. The advantage of using the natural fabric is it won’t easily change the color due to the sun rays and also not easily bleached.

However, the artificial fabric is divided into two; synthetic fabric and re-generated cellulose fabric.

The synthetic fabric is made from fiber which the inorganic chemical product is combined with the organic product. The re-generated cellulose fabric is made up from natural fabric mixture like cotton and mixed with cellulose.

There is one more fabric that made up from mineral resources like asbestos, iron, silver, gold and glass fiber. Before it appears to be fabric, the materials are converted into fiber. This fabric have high endurable and shows the luxurious style towards the person who wears it. The process using asbestos fiber is actually harmful because the fiber, when a person sucked it, can contribute to cancer.

1. Look at the picture and fold your shawl like that.(Better use a shawl that has different colour for both sides)
2. Then, pin it.
3. Take the longer side and pull it back to the opposite side.
4. Do it as your wish and pin it.
5. Next, neat it as your comfort.
6. Its done........

HAVING FUN WITH DAMIA SHAWL

1. First , you need to make the shawl into two. Make sure one part is longer than the other part.
2. Then , you pin it.
3. Take the longer part of the shawl and pull it to the back of the opposite side.
4. Adjust it according to your comfort.
5.  Secure it nicely with pin.
6. Take the shorter part of the shawl and put it on the opposite side of your shouder.
7. Pin it.
8. Done ! You have your own style of wearing a shawl.

NEW DESIGN (RUFFLE)

1. Take the hijab and fold it into triangle.
2. Put it on your head and adjust the length of both side to be same.
3. Take an edge of one side and pin it on the opposite shoulder as in picture 3.
4. The another side, do the same as the previous step.
5. Neat it as you wish!
6. Now you are done! Nice isn't it?

1. Take a shawl (whatever shawl that you want ) and put it as in picture 1
2. Then, pin it as in picture 2 on your opposite head to your shawl that you want to pin. (depends on       you which side to pin).
3. Take the edge of pinned shawl and bring it up on your head.
4. Adjust it as in picture 4 and tighten it (how that's comfort you)
5. Pin it.
6. Make a flower on your another side of shawl.
7. This is the back view
